IPL 2021: Tabraiz Shamsi back to IPL and Signed with Rajasthan Royals as the second replacement

IPL 2021 is to be held in the United Arab Emirates from 19th September 2021.

Rajasthan Royals has signed Tabraiz Shamsi as Andrew Tye’s replacement. Tabraiz has returned to IPL after four years for the UAE leg of IPL 2021.

He has got the pitch right in the rankings of ICC T20I. He is chosen as the second replacement for Rajasthan Royals.

Shamsi has played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as a replacement player in 2016. He has also played four games for the Virat Kohli-led franchise. Out of the four games, he took three wickets.

For the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals, the left-arm leg spinner from Johannesburg is the replacement player.

In 2017, Tabraiz Shamsi made his debut for South Africa against England during the bilateral T20I.

The Rajasthan Royals have revealed that for the second leg of IPL 2021, Andrew Tye won’t be available.

Andrew stated that he wanted to grab some time with his family. He is headed to prepare himself for the next T20 World Cup.

After the IPL pause, Rajasthan Royals are placed fifth in the points table, they’ve played seven games out of which three came out to be victorious.

Rajasthan Royals had a poor start in the IPL 2021. They are likely to turn things down through strategy and replacement choices.

The Royals have struggled to find combinations for their playing 11 after the overseas stars got intruded by injuries or withdrawal from the tournament.

The remaining phase of IPL 2021 will be run by the wrist-spin contingent Tabraiz Shamsi, a new addition to the Rajasthan Royals squad.

The left-arm spinner recently played in The Hundred, where he grabbed seven wickets in six matches for Oval Invincibles, at an economy rate of 8.71.

We have the IPL 2021 season ahead of us in September. The announcement regarding the replacement was made prior. Shamsi also represents The Titans in South Africa’s domestic cricket. He is 31 years old.
